This is the second time I've stayed at the Ardview Flat, behind the Ardview Inn, Port Ellen. There are two main ways to get to Islay. Both involve ferries. You can come from Oban or Kennacraig (Oban doesn't run every day) and land at Port...More

Superb local pub. A number of good local beers and a very large choice of Islay whiskies. When I tried to decide which whisky I wanted, the landlady gave me a menu-type book full of hundreds of whiskies, with each individually priced, so it was...More

We popped in for a night cap after our meal. The place is tiny, low celings and a lovely small town, old-world feel. It has a ridiculously impressive selection of Islay whiskies behind the bar and loads of cheeky signs all over the walls. Great...More

We stumbled into The Ardview at the end of our evening and had great Bar service with wonderful discourse about Islay and the world. Enjoyable experience!

Since my first visit to Islay this has been my favourite pub. Small, friendly and not that many tourists. Oh, did I mention the great whisky selection?

Great wee pub. Good selection of malts and they sell my favourite beer McEwans Export on draught. Staff friendly

We came to Islay for the whisky, and when we weren't in distilleries this was the pub for us. The catalogue of whiskies on sale ran to seven pages! The service was fast and friendly and the locals were absolutely fabulous. A proper drinking pub,...More
