Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1886, this challenging, historic course has spectacular views of the North Sea and goes almost straight out and straight back, with the angle changing subtly at each hole.

Friendly, professional and welcoming. Beautifully maintained course. Greens in excellent condition and all the fairways well-maintained. The calm, dry weather added to the the overall quality of the golfing experience. Excellent value for money and the 19th hole is well worth a visit.
RDGC is probably the best course in Scotland on the Cooks Tour of the Home of Golf fabulous views of sea sky and mountains, rolling fairways and huge greens--as someone said God invented golf then laid out Dornoch to play it on!

When in Scotland, one must golf. We loved Royal Dornoch. We scheduled in advance to ensure we could get a tee time. We rented clubs (hubby loved his). The staff at the golf course were so nice, as most in Scotland are.

This course CAN NOT be missed if you travel to Scotland to golf! I had my lowest score ever, mostly because of my fantastic caddie. The caddies were fantastic - great people as well as great caddies. I would recommend spending the money to get...More
We were lucky enough to go here for dinner whilst doing the NC500. The staff were friendly, efficient and served us great good and drink. Very reasonably priced. Next time we hope to play golf too, as the course looked fantastic.
Playing Royal Dornoch was on our bucket list. We were fortunate to have two experienced caddies named Alan and J.D. We struggled with the numerous bunkers and elevated greens but would score better if we played it again. We loved the location and thoroughly enjoyed...More
Wonderful experience, had excellent weather, which is hit and miss in Scotland mid September. Place is run like a well oiled machine, my caddie was a great help and extremely pleasant thanks Eric.
Gold as it should be, wish my game was as good as...More
