You have to go a long way to beat the food at The George, Chideock and their Sunday Lunch was excellent. I had the roast beef which was succulent, with a Yorkshire, roasties, parsnips, swede and carrots with lashings of gravy.

We went to the George for a meal on Monday night. It was the loveliest food that we have all had in a long time. The staff were great and very accommodating. Highly recommend eating here!

A LOVELY beet caprese - super recipe. Great Cajun chicken burger too. Don't be put off by the exterior of the pub, the inside is lovely, the bar staff are helpful and the food is fab.

Monday lunch! We both had bacon and brie toasted sandwiches. Very nice, only grumble is the bread was a bit over toasted and burnt (but we did let them know). The pub and garden is gorgeous, staff lovely, great range of drinks. We'll definitely be...More

Had lunch here after promising ourselves for years. The food was good, though we thought the choice was a bit ordinary for a pub in such a lovely village. The service was good and friendly. Not expensive.
