Went with my teenage daughters to house and gardens. Setting atmosphere and interior beautiful and different. Food was really nice and organic and fresh from the garden spring water on tap lovely. However you do pay for it.

What a lovely location. Great gardens with lots of interesting sculptures dotted around. Wonderful restaurant with a sunny terrace. Interesting shop and gallery. An all round lovely place to spend a few hours on a sunny day.

Hi there. I can certainly recommend a visit to Burtown. Although the gardens are not very large, they are incredibly beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. I would think the early summer is the best time to visit with bursts of colour and intrigue. However I am sure any time of the year would bring something different every time. I am not so sure about the special and rare plant fair being held there next year but kept a check in this web page for possible updates rareandspecialplantfair
