My husband spent time at Lakeshore Marina as a young man, so we usually revisit Watauga Lake whenever we are in the area. It's a beautiful lake! Well worth a visit anytime of year! Beautiful in fall, even on a cloudy day

Wattage Lake is beautiful. Lake traffic has increased with the closure of Boone Lake. The water is clean. Some of my family likes to fish, others like to wakeboard and tube. People on friendly. It's a great place to vacation

Boating, fishing, camping and watching are all good activities on the lake. We had lunch (a couple of times) at the Captain's Table which affords scenic views of the lake. Definitely worth visiting.

Great swimming hole at Shooks Branch, lots of rental houses available but book early in the summer, great place to unwind.

This man-made lake sits high in the mountains of North East Tennessee. There are several marinas offering docking and boat rentals. There are free boat launch areas as well. There are swimming areas, picnic areas and camping areas around the lake shore.

Beautiful lake and fishing. We will be back. The captains table was delicious sea food with an outdoor deck overlooking the lake. The Butler Museum was a must see. Ask for George Walker as your guide. You won't be sorry.

Not much to do around this area but RELAX and enjoy the peace and quite. That is exactly what I did all week long!
