About
We will meet you at the dock of either Lake Jocassee or Lake Keowee and deliver to you the boat and everything nautical needed for you and your guests to have a fun-filled day on the lake. You bring the people, some goodies to eat and drinks and off you go. On those busy days in the summer, when it is impossible to get into Devils Fork State Park, we will meet you at our parking area and shuttle you and your guests into the park. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy the beauty of either lake with your friends and family. Happy customers mean we are doing our job right!

We had a large group of about 35 people and wanted to see all the sites on Lake Jocassee accessible only by water. Stephanie, the owner was a wonderful energetic guide and made sure that all of our needs were met. She is a long time local and very knowledgeable of the area and its history. The water falls are a must see attraction. Stephanie was great with the children and the seniors in our group. Will definitely book with her next year when we return.

I booked a 6 hour tour with Stephanie (the owner). She took on an adventure of a lifetime! We toured the lake and stopped to swim, take short hikes up streams that feed the lake. The entire family went tubing. My wife an I have never done this. I have never laughed so hard! What a great time. Stephanie brought us to all of the major waterfalls. We bottled water from the falls. Swam thru the falls and even jumped off a rock from a waterfall into the lake.(maybe 25-30ft) Stephanie was an excellent guide and showed us so many things we would have never seen on our own! I hope to do this again in the future. If I could I would rate this a 10!!! Thanks again to Stephanie for a great time and taking great photos! Jon, Chris, Peyton and Cameron

My friends and I had the good fortune recently to join a pontoon boat tour of Lake Jocassee from Devils Fork State Park with Stephanie Couch, owner of Jocassee Keowee Rentals as our pilot and guide. She's a long-time local resident who knows the lake like the back of her hand and she shares her knowledge with unbridled enthusiasm. Flanked by forested mountains and ringed with waterfalls, this is one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes we've ever seen and Stephanie got us up-close views of the best of the waterfalls -- a half-dozen of them at least. You can't see that much of the lake from its shores -- so don't miss the chance to explore it on a boat tour.

Stephanie (owner) didn't seem to be very business-like. She didn't answer my conformation emails, she attempted to charge me more for my 2 day pontoon rental than we agreed on, there was too much yelling at her staff and too much shop talk when we took the boat out, etc. I chose her rental company because she had the lowest price. That may have been because the pontoon that we rented had no working radio, no horn (as stated on their web site), I don't believe the gas gage worked, (it indicated the same amount of gas when we finished as it did when we first got the boat, and I was still charged $72.00 for gas), and I had to bring the empty on board fire extinguisher to their attention. We had a good time, but I think I'll pay a bit more next time with a different company.

From my initial contact with Stephanie to inquire about renting a pontoon boat, dealing with her was a true pleasure. She made sure my wife and I were met at the boat landing on time, we were shown how to operate the boat, given a map as to where to find waterfalls, and just generally made our day unforgettable. I can't imagine a better day or more friendly and professional service! Stephanie is terrific, and her coworkers are, too. We've been to Devil's Fork several times and finally got good weather for a boat ride, and it's the most fun we've ever had there. My wife and I can't wait to do this again. --Michael D. Lake Jocassee is beautiful, but if you are only seeing it from the small part accessible from shore, you are really missing out. If you don't own your own boat, you couldn't do better than Stephanie at Jocassee Keowee Rentals. We knew we wanted to rent a boat for at least one of our days at Devil’s Fork State Park and researched several of the other area companies. We chose Stephanie and JKR because she had the best value. In fact, because her prices were so reasonable, we were able to rent for two days for not much more than one day would have cost with the other providers.
Stephanie’s commitment to customer service was also great. Since we were renting for two consecutive days, she allowed us to leave our ice chests and fishing gear on the boat overnight, even providing us with a locking cable to secure our ice chest. We have 2 adult children and one 12 year old; when I picked up the boat, I described his size to her and she provided a life vest she felt would fit him. Later, we encountered her on the lake in her own boat and she swapped the vest out with another because she didn’t feel it fit him perfectly.
Her knowledge of the lake is also extensive, she provided us with a waterproof map and marked the best spots for photos and swimming. We were able to find them all and they were as beautiful as she described.
To see someone who runs her business with such energy and joy is indeed a pleasure to see. We will definitely come back to Lake Jocassee and we will certainly call on Stephanie and Jocassee Keowee Rentals when we do.

Superior service!!! We were passing through town on our way back to Birmingham, Al and had heard about this lake. We wanted to take a boat tour and no one was available for a last minute tour. My last call was to Jocassee Keowee Rentals and Stephanie answered. She said she would take us. She was the best tour guide you could ask for. She showed us many water falls and not just passing by them, but she stopped and let us explore them. She even took us hiking up one. It was amazing. She took us to many cool places to swim. A large boulder rock to jump off. My son dropped his sunglasses in the water and the next thing I know Stephanie dived in to get them. She was great with my kids. She wanted to make sure they had a great time and of course they did. This was the highlight of our trip. So make this company your first call. Thank you again Stephanie for a great experience. We will be back!!!

By far the best way to experience Lake Jocassee is from a pontoon boat which provides a large, stable platform for family to fish, swim, tube, etc.. The boat is trailered in at your appointed time, launched for you and made ready while you relax. The half day rental, lasting four hours is ideal for exploring the lake while leaving time to stop, swim, climb rocks, etc..

Everything about our experience was a 5/5 stars! Amazing friendly service. Great prices. Clean boat. Perfect communication. Answered every question we had. Rolled with the flow as we were behind schedule getting to the lake from Asheville. Simply, honestly, can't say enough good things about our day on the lake thanks to Jocassee Keowee Rentals. 100% will book with them again - because (spoiler alert) the lake was beautiful and the waterfalls were better than the photos.
