I’ve been on two tours with this crew and they were both fabulous. I was in the area on contract and I’m so happy I found Jocassee Lake Tours. The perfect mix of interesting history, local flora/fauna facts, and fun recreation on the most beautiful lake in the region. Support the local business and their efforts, you won’t be disappointed!

I booked a kayak for 3 days for camping at the boat-in campground, and the pickup and dropoff was very simple. The equipment was great quality, the campground was well maintained, and exploring the falls was really interesting as long as you're willing to paddle out. A tip from the locals that really made the trip was to tie up and explore above most of the waterfall, which revealed level after level of even cooler falls!

Thank you for the many ways that JLT served us: from working with our special needs through the registration process to finding us to make sure that we were in the right place upon the arrival to THE TOUR to the perfect escort with Kay back to our cars. Ric had a good feel for when his stories of adventure and of nature were welcomed and when the chattiness of our group seemed to not be a good time for sharing for all. It was great that he jumped in with us! Using this outfitter to experience Lake Jocassee and its uniqueness is the perfect combination. Thank you.

We had a wonderful day on this beautiful lake. We got lots of information and saw several waterfalls. Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. She gave us time to swim at several locations. I highly recommend the 4 hour tour!

This is a well oiled five star experience from the parking to the shuttle to the boat to the guides and just the overall experience. Kerry and David were our guides and their overall love of nature and knowledge of the area and a genuine joy for helping others experience the beauty totally shines through. We had an amazing day on the water. Just FYI— don’t let the six hour length of the kayak tour scare you. Total time in the kayaks is not six hours. It’s a nice blend of a pontoon ride and then kayaking to waterfalls, having a picnic lunch and then exploring other areas. We really could not have asked for a more perfect day!

If you haven’t experienced lake Jocassee it is a must. One of the few pristine & untouched lakes in the country with things to see anytime of year. The many times I have gone I always learn something and see something new. Great place to take out of town guests to see the beauty of our area. I am a frequent floater

Greetings, and thanks for asking! Please go to our website and click the "Tours" tab at the top of the page. You can get there by putting together Jocassee and Lake and Tours, lol. That way you can see all options!

Will you have boat tours this weekend 5/29/20-6/1/20? How much for adult and child?

You need to call them to find out. During covid, their boats are limited to 8 people. The people here are tourists like you, not representatives of the company.
Do you have csbins at re camp ground for rent? Price and # sleep.

You would need to check sc state parks website for camping information and reservations at Devil's Fork state park.
What is the price of the tour?

We also paid $50 apiece plus a little tip for our guide. We did a Wed. 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Well worth it!

I'd love to book one of your open tours but my two kids are terrified of dogs and won't be comfortable with them on board. How can we go on a tour sans digs?
Sure. Just let us know when you're coming and we'll make sure no dogs are on your boat.
Do you allow small dogs on your tours?
Kay W
Salem, SC
We do welcome well behaved lap dogs under 30 pounds on our public tours. We occasionally have a guest bring a larger dog (and they don't always tell us a dog is coming!) and as long as everyone else is okay with that, we are happy to accommodate. However, we appreciate knowing beforehand if it's a larger dog than would fit in your lap.

Are you open today, March 21? We're headed your way from Simpsonville & would like to book a tour!
Kay W
Salem, SC
Hi Julie! I know the date has passed but I want to clarify a previous answer. Devils Fork State Park does NOT offer tours at all. Eclectic Sun is the on-site provider at DFSP for pontoon and kayak rentals. JLT works with ES to offer park guests the opportunity to tour the lake without renting a private pontoon. JLT offers tours every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10-1 (generally... sometimes we offer alternate times) for $45. These tours can be booked directly through us, or through Eclectic Sun, but NOT through Devils Fork State Park! Hope this helps for the future!

Do we have to go on a tour or can we just enter the lake and explore on our own?
Also, is there a place to rent boats or canoes etc?
Sherrie C
Salem, SC
Hi there. This is Sherrie from Jocassee Lake Tours. The only way to get on to Lake Jocassee is through Devils Fork State Park at the main dock or kayak ramps. Eclectic Sun is located in the park and offers Pontoon Rental. We also offer kayak rental. The closest waterfall is a 1 1/2 hour paddle one way which is Wright Creek falls. The lake is beautiful and if you are wanting to tour the falls, they are only accessible by boat. Give us a call if you would like to book a tour.
