This paved trail is very smooth and has an almost unnoticeable slope from the beginning to the end. It used to be the bed of some railroad tracks. It is great for roller blading and bike riding. There are benches along the way to rest...More

Much like the Augusta Canal trail on the south side, this is a walk thru the woods on the north side of the Savannah River. Well done, well used and clean.

Such a great way to spend the morning (or the day in general). The shaded trail and frequent traffic (cyclists, dog walkers/runners, walkers/runners) makes for a great time. It is easy to spend over an hour or two on the Greeneway. The trail is paved...More

The Green Way is paved the entire distance and is well maintained. My wife and I enjoy walking and occasional bike rides. Most places have shade from overhanging trees. This is our preferred path to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise.

One of my favorite places to walk anywhere is the North Augusta Greenway. I start in Hammond Ferry and walk along the Savannah River, then loop back a couple of miles. Good place to see wildlife and to relax.
