Wickford Harbor is a hidden gem as is the Village. Just recently sat on a bench overlooking the harbor and witnessed a beautiful sunset. Love the fact that it is rarely crowded. Plenty of parking in the municipal lot right in the center of town;...More

Besides the nice shops, people and coffee shops, the harbor is pretty with lots of vantage points. Great place to rent kayaks too.

After dining at Shayna’s, we took time to explore Wickford Harbor, in North Kingstown/Wickford, and enjoyed the time. The actual harbor was much larger, than it had appeared on my map, and there were tons of pleasure boats, of all sizes and designs, to keep...More

Launch a kayak and go exploring. Calm, quiet waters. After exploring the harbor enjoy some shopping and food in Wickford - a classic New England town.

Spectacular place for very calm kayak paddling. Put in at Wilson Park, Flatfish Alley at Long Point. There's both a powerboat launch and a kayak/canoe launch. If you don't carry much in your kayak, you can do the short walk from the road to the...More

Located across Narraganset Bay from Newport, Wickford caters to both power and sail boats. Some town moorings are available and Wickford Yacht Club as a few guest moorings. Two large boatyards have guest slips for power boats. Visit Historic Wickford!

As seen from the Boar's Head greasy spoon. Not a "tourist spot" but local hub that is a bit off beaten track. A nice small town feel without the regular chain store shops and coffee spots. Not sophisticated. Just charming.

When people visit a HARBOR they mostly expect the speed and turmoil of a harbor town. Wickford is a village with shops you don't find anywhere else, privately owned and operated... Parking is limited but if you get there early you will find spots. Unique...More

This is a fantastic place to learn to kayak. There is a local rental for kayaks. Calm waters, scenic and historic building surround the view anywhere in the harbor. This is a must for outdoor adventurers.

Beautiful view from the benches in the public parking lot behind Rite Aid (used to be Earnshaw's Drugs for many years). Lovely boats, gulls and ducks to watch, and a pretty little getaway steps from the main row of shops. Worth a stop, and a...More
