There's something so calming and beautiful about this park. I visit it frequently after picking up some Allie's donuts. If you need to relax and clear your mind. Take a chair and go sit on the cliffs. I haven't found a better place.

Since we visited off season the museum and other buildings were not open but it was still worth our trip. There are signs all around the grounds that tell you the story from when the lighthouse was built to its present situation. Before you leave...More

I had never been to Jamestown, an afternoon trip from Mystic, and this stop was amazing. I could smell the salt air as soon exiting the car. Wish we had brought chairs to just sit along the rocks. People were fishing, waves rolling in and...More

We stopped by Beavertail lighthouse last week and unfortunately the museum was closed. But the surrounding area and the lighthouse itself is very picturesque and great for photos. We would definitely makes it a stop if you are in Jamestown.

Definitely worth the drive! The views here are amazing. Great place to walk, great place to take photos. And they do have bathrooms! You could just bring a lawn chair and a good book and hang out. Pack a picnic. We even saw a man...More

This was worth the time it took to drive to see this lighthouse. Visit other parks along the way. The scenery was beautiful.

Looking for some sun or a great spot for pictures? This place is phenomenal. Bring a picnic basket and a towel, or a tripod and go all out. Lots of gorgeous rocky cliffs with a small rocky beach area that allows for a good swim....More

Continuing with my fascination of light houses this became my last stop before heading back to Ossining New York. The good part about this location was there was a free aquarium as they referred to it pretty much a small room with several tanks with...More

We went here primarily for possible photo ops (which was so-so) when the museum within the lighthouse opened. The museum itself was not extraordinary (but nice if you like lighthouse history). However, the docent that was there that day told us some fantastic stories that...More

One of the oldest in the country this lighthouse is worth a visit. It sits at the end of the Beavertail section of Jamestown. It has a museum and a store with some postcards, t-shirts etc. Plenty of parking and great views over to Newport...More

The one-way road is the only 'paved' area and traffic is slow, I have seen strollers on the road, but other areas are grassed and any paths are rocky and not suitable for strollers.
