We found the tower by accident because it is not well marked. Cost $3 to go up 125 steps and was not able to view the canyon anyhow. The tower is in rough shape and privately owned. Do not waste your time.

Some nice panoramic views, but not of the canyon. $3 entrance fee either on site or at Canyon Country Campground. The hike was nice from the campground, but the view as average for a 100 ft. fire tower.

What an awesome place to visit the mountains. The Canyon country campground is a great place to stay while visiting the canyon and sites around wellsboro.

It is a little scary and the climb is long but it is worth it. They charge to go up it but it was only $3.00 per person and had a credit card machine to swipe our cards at.

You'll get some exercise climbing the steps, but the view is worth it. I've been here twice, and there was no one else there either time. Bring a credit card as there is a small fee ($2 or $3 per person.)

The lookout tower is a healthy climb, but relatively safe for kids of all ages.... and mom, dad, and grandparents. The tower provides excellent views of the famous Pine Creek Gorge and surrounding area.

Very annoyed to have driven there to find the gate closed. Sign said it is open "weather permitting" There was a slight skiff of snow on the road, I think we could have managed! Even if it wasn't 5 degrees out, there was nowhere to...More

You drive past Canyon Country Campground and it is next to campground. Follow their signs to find the road (Wilson Rd) off of 660. Right where 660 makes a 90 turn. Turn right through metal gates and drive to tower. Very close to Leonard Harrison...More

Cost $3 credit card only. Passed back & forth by big signs advertising it but not helping you find it. Nice solid tower doesn't move in a strong wind, but I expected to see the PA Grand Canyon. All you can see the tops of...More
