The visitors center and grounds have been beautifully conceived. The sugar bush stand of trees is lovely to explore. The short drive to the river is easy, and the walk to the river is the same. This site has been made into a lovely, meaningful...More

The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and enhance the visit. The DVD was a great start to the visit. Grounds were well maintained and signed. After the tour, you can spend time on the grounds visiting the sugar bush and the cemetery.

I would contact the site directly. They do have a list of nearby accommodations that they send out when asked. Perhaps your rental property could be added to their list.

At least 2-3 hours would be good. There is a lot to see at the site, plus great media presentations.
