Hey Brennan, sorry for a late delay on my respond back. Been having a rough time at home and my position at the Long Island Aquarium. Plus got caught up in the Paranormal field I'm involved in on Long Island NY. Me and my friend go every year in October to Pennhurst. It's a 3 hour drive for me to get there and it take 2 hours for my friend to get there. When we go and make plans, we meet up at Valley forge National Park in the morning and we either spend the whole afternoon at Valley Forge hiking and exploring or we go check out other areas near by for the day and then come back to the park to pick up his car and get something to eat in the shopping center where their's different restaurants located off the exit for Royersford from 422. For Pennhurst, it depends on how long the lines are. Me and my friend are usually their from 6:30-10:00pm Not only that they have all four attractions, but they also have actors and actresses that come and interact with you while waiting on line. The time for each attraction is reasonable, you're in their for a good 20 min or so for the first three attractions, and for the self guided ghost hunt tour at the Mayflower hall. You could be in their a bit longer because the staffs that runs the museum talks to you and gives you a history lesson about Pennhurst and if you have other questions, they are willing to answer. But, to roam around with a flashlight and your smartphone or IPhone, do not rush walking through the empty hallways and dorms otherwise you will not capture any spirit orbs roaming around. Take your time in the Mayflower Hall and make that be your last attraction. When I enter the Mayflower, I'm usually in their for about an hour slowly walking around with my flashlight and ipod and I always catch something in my videos. Especially on the second floor. I will be going back next year doing all four attractions and plus the overnight ghost tour at the may flower Hall. Just found out that in the spring they are going to do history tours at Pennhurst. Hope this helps.
