Market Square is surrounded by about five gigantic Pittsburgh Glass buildings that soar way into the sky. PPG went out of the glass business a number of years ago associated with glass manufacture and now mainly concentrate on their prime product of Pittsburgh Paint.

The Pittsburgh skyline was surprisingly nice. This building is one of the tallest and the castle part at the top makes it stand out. Very interesting architecture.

Must visit with a historical perspective on this building. Print something out that tells you all the details about this place. Trivia and facts on it and you'll appreciate it much more.

Very outstanding to see this all glass (including the pointed roof) skyscraper and centerpiece in downtown Pittsburg. It surrounds a park square which had a St. Patricks Day Celebration on the day we were there. The parade was fun.

Every bigger US city has its building landmark. This one is certainly Pitt's one. Easily seen from Mt. Washington view point it dominates the Pitt's panorama with its modern glass Gothic spires. Being there in early days of Jan, there was a nice skating rink...More

Challenged myself to ice skating for the first time in over 30 years! The attendants were all nice and even though it was a little crowded once I was out on the ice rink, I am still glad I did it! After skating for about...More

On the out side is a very large tree surrounded by an ice rink, much like Rockefeller Center in New York City. On the inside is another large tree with displays from quite a few countries that have life-sized replicas of those countries version of...More

If you're staying downtown and want to be near walkable restaurants, this place is pretty good. We are from cleveland and during the holidays, the ice rink makes Cleveland's ice rink look like a puddle.
