Blocks and blocks of bars, clubs, shops, and bars and clubs. Amazing selection of so many styles of nightlife. You can't not find a place you'll love, and so many interesting people.

Great place to walk around, especially when it is warm out! Lots of restaurants open their windows out onto the street. There are shops and cafes and food. Great place.

When I was growing up in Pittsburgh, South Side was the province of Ukrainian, Polish and Slavic steelworker families whose houses were passed down from one generation to the next. That all changed after the steel industry collapsed and there was no longer work in...More

South Side is simply one of the coolest places you can go to see life. Concerts, food, drinks.....this place has it all.

You can spend an entire day in the South Side and be both entertained and fed! Lots of places to eat and drink. Enjoy yourself during the lunch time, afternoon time. I didn't go there at night since I am not a partier.

Lots of places to eat, drink, but now at dark starting to see more drama. There has been a rise in crime. Enjoy yourself during the lunch time, afternoon time, but nothing good will happen later at night.

In my opinion, in order to appreciate the South Side, one also has to enjoy the type of atmosphere that it offers: cheesy themed restaurants, bars, & nightlife. And since I am not one of those people, the South Side is my least favorite neighborhood...More

For some, this area might be too sketchy but for me, it was very picturesque. A lot of bars and restaurants. At night it turns into the club scene.
