Great hometown bookstore in New Hope. You can browse for hours without feeling like you are being watched by an employee thinking in their mind "either buy the book or put it down" Late night hours ,and if you can't find what you are looking for, they will happily order it for you. A New Hope landmark.

Second time we've been to this store and I love it even more. This time, we brought our 15 year old daughter and now she's a fan. Wonderful selection of new and used books, friendly, knowledgable workers and of course, Butter, the cat. What a great place.

Attended an author book signing and art exhibit at the New Hope Arts Center for Sandy Hanna, author of The Ignorance of Bliss - An American Kid in Saigon, in cooperation with Farley's Bookshop. Amazing experience after having just returned from Vietnam recently.

Sandy Hanna, a mutual friend of mine, shared her paintings and her writings as a young American in Saigon now Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam as a child during the 1960's. The art exhibit, 16 beautiful pieces, captured from Sandy's fathers photo's taken during the 1960's portrayed a very different culture than the United States, yet looked no different than what I had seen during my visit to Saigon in December of 2018.

Sandy led a very interesting life and the few years she spent in Vietnam are so vastly different than those of an American child during the same time period that the book is worth a read.

Thanks to Farley's Bookshop for their cooperation in bringing this author and art to New Hope.

I love independent bookstores, but this one falls short of the mark. If you are going in because you forgot a book and just want to pick up a quick read, you will likely find something. If you are looking for anything more offbeat, you will be disappointed.

I visited here on my latest trip to New Hope. It’s a small bookstore right in the middle of New Hope with a good selection of recent titles (except for their science fiction section, which is pretty sad). Definitely worth stopping in here on your next trip to New Hope.

We've always loved going to Farley's bookstore. It's a tiny, locally owned bookstore and they'll go out of their way to help you. They've been there like forever.

Mr Farley recently died and I understand his daughter is taking over the bookstore. I wish them the best. It's a landmark.

Independent bookstores are precious, and Farley's is my favorite. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, helping me research books I'm looking for, recommending new authors, and ordering special titles they don't have in stock. I especially love the children's section; finding gifts is easy. They even have a rewards program; every so often, I earn a lovely gift certificate. It doesn't get any better!

Disappointed because I had expected an old books and first edition type shop. It was just another new book store - out of place in New Hope I thought

My wife and I went for a "no buy" visit and we were successful--only bought two books! This is an old time book store such as Philly had years ago. Eclectic but with great variety and excellent staff who are very knowledgeable and committed to service.
