Recently made a visit across to Tea Gardens on the old ferry and were told the history by a lovely lady called Annie but it would be better if she could use a portable PA system so she didn't have to repeat her spiel multiple...More

Great day trip to Nelson Bay on an old ferry. Lots of history on the ferry. We went left first off the boat and walked up to the Lighthouse. Then we walked all the way back to the Marina for lunch

Crew were friendly and very helpful - Kallie and our Captain Jason guided us on our 60 minute cruise. We took a lovely old wooden ferry. We saw two dolphins just near the bridge in Tea Gardens. You get a great view and comfortable seating....More

$26 per adult for this ferry that needs a tidy up and maintenance. No machine available to process cards, as advertised. A long queue was stuck in the hot sun, whilst handwritten receipts were done, for a ferry with perhaps a hundred people or so....More

We took the ferry to Tea Gardens from Nelson Bay on board "Tea Gardens" which was built in 1940 and is furnished with seats etc from an old tram. Very quirky

Went over from 11am ferry and back at 230. Tea gardens quiet but 45 minutes each way to look at the harbour for only $26/ adult. Saw a few dolphins. Very pleasant.

No, passengers only. Would be fantastic to have a car ferry, it would allow to explore further to Hawks Nest for instance. Hard to do with no car.

Hi Robert, The ferry wharf is only about 50 metres to the pub and all flat. The wharf is ramped so no dramas with a wheel chair.
