Drive or wlk up to the lookout to enjoy the views of the coast line and Nambucca Haeds. Worthy stop on your trip and maybe see a whale or two during the winter months.

Great view with Whales passing by. A bit wet but well worth the visit, views were magnificent and will need to revisit in better weather.

During Winter months, Whale-Watching is a favourite pastime from Captain Cook Lookout. The wide panoramas overlooking Shelly Beach Boat Ramp and down onto the V-Wall and entrance of the Nambucca River are without comparison. Very photogenic!

You need to check out this lookout (as well as others nearby) for panoramic views over the Pacific. Perfect to see passing boating , dolphins and the whales - in season.

A lovely walk up to the lookout. We saw heaps of wales jumping out of the water. A great safe spot for kids to see them too. Easy walk, good parking. Just go!
