We planned to spend an hour but two hours later we are still enjoying what was on show. Shame the hospital was under repair.

Looked at the reviews and so ended up at this hidden little gem. Cost was $30.00 for a family Including 2 adults and up to 3 kids. You will need around 90 minutes to 2 hours if you truly just wonder and read everything. The museum on only about 10 minutes from Griffiths and is a easy walk around the grounds. Great old buildings with lots of history from the district and history of the original wine families. Well worth a trip although teenagers being teenagers just don’t get it as it’s not on their iPhone but will appreciate it when they have kids and the penny drops !!! Younger kids will love it.

Our history is being lost and it is do great to see a group of volunteers effectively collecting and preserving buildings and stuff. I say stuff, because there is an amazing range of furniture, tools, equipment, groceries, clothing etc. we sent 3 hours there and could have stayed longer, bringing back memories of our school days, childhood etc. while learning the history of Griffith and surrounds including Italian settlers and the MID. Thoroughly recommend a visit

.This is one thing you must do in Griffith, you will need a few hour as it is a big place. Some wonderful historical stuff about Griffith. Some interesting buildings and artifacts. Good to do on a dry day, not so good if it's raining. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We focussed on the Italian Museum which had a very interesting video running personalising the experience of Italian migration with interviews with migrants (who were children back in the 20s and 30s). We cherry picked our way round the remainder of the extensive site. Fascinated with the Bagtown buildings showing the use of cereal bags as wall and ceiling materials, sometimes whitewashed. Worth a visit.
