My family and I are from Australia and we visited here on our road trip around England. Beautiful house and gardens. Friendly tour guides inside. Loved looking at the old kitchens and cellar.

The park is a green oasis underneath the Heathrow flightpath with ample areas to chill and relax, with many paths leading to local streets and the nearby Grand Union canal. The original style of the house matched the stable block which houses the cafe, shop...More

From J Boy of Derby Not one of the largest NT houses on show and a slight disappointment that so many rooms were closed to the public especially as NT still charge the full amount for non members, this still is a brilliant example of...More

This is a beautiful looking house from the outside. Inside is a waste of time. You visit the downstairs only with empty rooms and very little furnishings. Save your money and visit the gardens only. These are worth the money.

I visited with my son for a couple of hours on a beautifully sunny day. We are National Trust members so parking was free but otherwise it’s around £7. There’s plenty of grass to play and relax on, and a number of families were eating...More

Beautiful park and gardens in the middle of a west London suburban desert. Remarkable that it has survived. Exterior of the house is interesting as are the Adam decorations inside but there is otherwise very little to see. A huge house but only a few...More

This part of west London is a network of motorways, airports and main roads, an unlikely place to find a large country house, gardens and landscape grounds. Visiting the park and cafe is free but there is a small charge to look around the house....More

Excellent example of a Georgian Country Estate, plenty to see in and around the house and as usual the room guides we're informative if you take time to ask them. No tours sadly when we visited which helps to get a better feel for any...More

As avid NT members we had been looking forward to our visit to Osterley. Outside it's just what you'd expect of an Adam house - very pleasing and with a promise of grandeur. The trouble was that once inside, on the day we went there...More

On a sunny day with children I imagine the park is ok but today, in dull wet weather our experience was dire. The house is so dark ( to preserve wall hangings I expect) I could hardly see any detail. Very few rooms to visit,...More

The website says £7 for parking but it might be best to phone them +442082325050 to be sure. Also, they might then clarify the website.

Not that far as planes can be seen flying overhead at a low height. Heathrow is nearby as the crow or plane flies. So by car it takes longer, but it is worth the journey, and wont take long.
