Walking around Malmesbury Abbey, we came across the Abbey House Gardens - very pretty formal town house gardens - though at £20 a little pricey for a family to visit. Aimed more at older generations.

Even though we visited in October, the gardens were still stunning with lots of trees laden with fruit. topiary was very impressive as was the river walk. Fish ponds full of huge carp which you are allowed to feed. food costs 50p. Lovely little café...More

We only saw this place by chance But what a gem. Even in autumn the gardens are beautiful. The riverside pathways blow your mind for the amount of work that has gone into their construction. Just how much earth and rocks were moved is unbelievable....More
