PA Farm Show
Jan 2020
Be prepared to walk and most likely get lost. Farm show is in January and runs for a few weeks each year. We get lost every time. Parking was across the street and they shuttle you over. Tons of fair like food options. You can see a baby cow be born! Worth spending the day.

Very nice facility. Attended the world horse expo.. the buildings are large and interconnected. We arrived early and had great parking. Others were not as prompt and parked a good distance away!

Great Place for a Show
Feb 2020
I have attended the Great Ameriacn Outdoor Show at this venue for several years and have to say that they do a great job hosting the show. The facility is clean, there are plenty of places within the facility to get food, and the layout is spacious enough that walkinf the isles is not a problem.

NRA Great American Outdoor Show
Feb 2020 • Friends
Visited the farmshow complex 2/6 for the outdoor show. Lots of outfitters to book hunting/fishing trips. Smith and Wesson, Henry, Rossi, Remington, Mossberg all had displays. Food was good. Nice way to get out of the cold and move around.

Great location for the Great American Outdoor Show!
Feb 2020
I came to Harrisburg PA for the Great American Outdoor Show which was held here. The buildings are huge and endless. Plenty of parking for vendors.

Another fun weekend
Feb 2020
Went there for the great American outdoor show. It is very organized for parking with the size of the event. I always park of premises and ride the shuttle. Best way so far. Show was great. I go every year for over 20 years now.

PA Farm Show

We visited the PA Farm Show on a Wednesday to avoid the crowds. It was an awesome show with plenty to see and do and eat! Our kids had a great time and we’ll be back again next year without a doubt.

In the “Moo” for Food
Jan 2020
This was my first time to this show and was told you need to go there for the food! Well I did not see myself chasing chickens or cows for dinner, so I figured they had already done the farm to the table stuff for me, lol!

I entered the Giant hall and found a large food concession area, so I hunkered down, looked around and planned my approach. My order included deep fried mushrooms ($4.50), pulled pork with coleslaw ($8), chicken meatballs ($5 for 4), brisket ($9 / large) and a milkshake ($5). Not that most of the stands require Cash Only payment. Note as I made my way through the show, I found there were many additional food-stands randomly about the facility.
What I Liked:
- All the food was better than average. My favorite, in order, was the brisket, meatballs, coleslaw, pulled pork, then the mushrooms.
- The overall concept of the farm show. There obviously was a significant amount of time and effort that went into it. While some things were better than others it had something for everyone. For the first time ever, I saw a cow get a “cow wash”!
- The butter sculpture I was told was a must see so I did find it and thought it was well done
- The milkshake was better than average and evidently a must have item when here
What I Did Not Like:
- I paid $15 to park and they did not plow the slush in the parking lot. What a rip off.
- The pulled pork was dry, so I had to enhance it by putting coleslaw on top
- Too many booth staffers were actively engaged in their smart phones rather than for the purpose they were there for
-
My Prime Minister of Beef rating for the brisket is 8/10 Moo’s landing this place at the #10 spot of the 34 places I have had beef at in the Carlisle area since February 2019.

My overall rating placed this restaurant at #52 of the 148 restaurants I have eaten at in the Carlisle area since February 2019.

Always a wonderful attraction
Jan 2020
Thousands and thousands of people of all natures and ages and dispositions visit this event each January, and we are always impressed when we go every few years with how very well orchestrated and controlled it is. Our appreciation and admiration to the PA state troopers, the shuttle directional and driving staffs, the arena personnel, the sanitation crews, etc. etc. The facility itself is easy to maneuver with excellent restroom facilities, clean throughout, comfortable temperature, well-marked signage. A job well done that makes it so enjoyable for all who visit.
