I drove up there from Pittsburgh only to find that the museum was closed. The place is ran by volunteers, and they may or may not show up. I checked the website, and listened to the automated voice message on the phone, to see their...More

Our docent Kathy was so friendly and informative as she showed us around the museum, which included the museum building itself, a 19th century log cabin, and a 19th century wooden home with doctor's office. Artifacts from the 18th and 19th and early 20th century...More

While not one of the larger museums, it's still a pretty neat place to walk around and spend an hour or two. The workers that are there seem to be very knowledgeable about all sorts of things throughout the area. Also, the museum puts on...More

Learned a lot about town's beginnings but can't tell that much anymore - from either a cultural or religious perspective. Buildings are well maintained but town has a stepford wives air to it. Nice way to spend a few hours!
