A visit to Doylestown is not complete without a visit and tour of the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. The building looks like an old medieval castle made out of what else? Clay! This is still a working handcrafted ceramic tile factory made in the...More

You don't have to be a historian to enjoy experiencing the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. The best part of the tour is the gift shop. Lots of great gift ideas that are unique and made with care.

Must have been a great tile studio at one time. Still active, but needs new artist blood. Albeit, there are constraints expected in the 'Mercer / Moravian art tile". Any change, and the 'signature' could be lost.

The tour is very informative and fun, especially if you enjoy unique architecture. The tiles in the gift shop will tempt you towards bankruptcy. :)

Immerse yourself in a working, living art installation then buy a piece to take home! Fascinating experience understanding a craft that has deep roots in surrounding community. I "cemented" plans to order a custom address plaque for my home that will be a true work...More

This place is a must while in Doylestown, not so much for the workings or the building but the artistry that was created here by Mr. Mercer. Very whimsical and medieval throwback to an age when things were hand made. The shop is just the...More

They had tons of designs so my bet would be that they have a rabbit. All the tiles are beautiful.
