Years ago, my husband and I started visiting different wineries from the Brandywine up thru the Poconos and out thru Lancaster, and Penn Woods consistently outperforms the others in quality of wine. As a fan of cab franc I have been very grateful to find...More

We went to this battlefield park while traveling in the Brandywine Valley area. This is certainly a large part of the American revolution history, and the small museum has much of the history, some recovered artifacts, and the obligatory gift shop. Certainly worth the stop...More

If you're looking for the true blue battlefield you need to go to Birmingham Hill park and Sandy Hollow park. Put those in to your gps/google maps/whatever. Both parks have sweeping views of the battlefield and some helpful maps. Sandy hollow park has a very...More

We went to the actual reenactment the day before so visiting this was especially cool. Very informative. Watched the movie and spent time in museum. Also walked around the houses.

After visiting Valley Forge several years ago, we have wanted to visit Brandywine Battlefield. Nice visitor center with a short movie. Small, informative museum. Two houses to visit.

Since I have difficulties walking I only saw the museum and film. It gave a good summary of a battle that I knew little about.

The Battle of Brandywine was a very important battle in the Revolutionary War. The colonies were outmaneuvered and lost the battle but were able to show they could fight decisively against the larger and more disciplined British. The battlefield visitor's center has an informative film...More

For the largest Revolt. War battle, this attraction undershoots the mark severely. The little museum and shop, the nice short movie, the stone bldgs, are nice, but that's all there is. This 11-hour battle had some 30,000 soldiers, G Washington, and we lost! There is...More
