The building alone and the view are worth the trip. The paintings are beautifully displayed with easy to read, well lit descriptions. The collection changes periodically and the guides are well informed.

We learned a lot about the Wyeth family on this visit. There are lots of examples of all the family's work and great timelines which helped us understand the dynasty's development. We all like the Wyeth's work and this place put it into context.

We had not visited the museum in over ten years, and we were delighted with today’s visit. The museum has floor to ceiling windows that overlook the river, which is a nice place for a picnic lunch. The collection of American art—including some paintings from...More

Truly enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere of the museum as we strolled through the exhibits on three floors (elevator available). Enjoyed the variety of artists Pyle, the Wyeths, et al, as well as being introduced to the works of Weymouth and Hurd. The cost was $18-adult,$6-kids,...More

Large collection of Wyeth family art plus other masters from the Brandywine River Valley. From Classic NC Wyeth illustrations to the masterpieces of Jamie and Andrew Wyeth, there is something to appeal to all from this amazing artistic family.

This small, compact, beautiful museum is choice! The work of the Wyeths and other related artists. Wonderful lunch room. Tempting gift shop. Connected tours of the Andrew Wyeth and NC Wyeth studios. Definitely worth the effort.

Visited this museum on a very cold day in January. Children of all ages will enjoy the model railroad exhibit while adults will appreciate the many works of the Wyeths, particularly N C Wyeth and his son, Andrew. There is a gift shop and a...More

We were in the area primarily to spend time at Longwood Gardens for their Christmas displays. I'd been to the Brandywine Museum before, in the Fall, and it was spectacular and quite moving, what with the beauty of the site, the river, the opportunity to...More

Have not been to Barnes museum in Philadelphia, but Wyeth works are likely different except maybe when Brandywine museum loans out works from its permanent collection.
