Travelling up from the Midlands we were lucky to stumble upon this place. Good prices friendly staff and locals just wish that it was closer.

The Hingemakers Arms is the only pub in England with that name, named for Cromptons Hingemakers that used to be located in Ashton in Makerfield where the Gerard Centre now stands! There is always a warm welcome and good beer available at The Hinge, known locally and affectionately as T'hinge. Whether you are a local or just visiting the area for the day it is always wprth a visit, just a stones throw from the town centre and a few minutes walk from Haydock Park.
