I'm not really into stamps but I've been to charity auctions that they hosted and it's a really nice facility for that. Very historic and vintage looking. The architecture and layout are great. They have a nice large room for meetings and presentations.

Headquarters of the American Philatelic Society. Has a research library, the post office that once resided in the Smithsonian (can even buy stamps!), antique post office equipment. Photo displays on walls. In the historic Match Factory.Staff will give you a tour. Very interesting place.

The American Philatelic Center has a large, well-appointed, thoughtfully designed library, displays, and even a contract post office, which is a historical post office on loan (?) from the Smithsonian. I recently attended an event here, and there's a large and beautiful assembly hall and...More

I took a tour of the Philatelic Center and was very impressed with the organization and the amount of research you could do here. The library section of the Stamps was out of this world. Beautiful restored facility, originally was the Match Factory. Much detail...More

Not being stamp collectors, we weren't sure what to expect from a visit here. Turned out to be an interesting place to spend an hour. Not a formal tour or display area, but we were left free to wander around to library/research area and the...More

This is of interest to stamp collectors and to owners of stamp collections, but it'll keep the interest of history buffs as well. For openers there is a working post office - with full selection of recently issued commemorative stamps not available at the post...More
