I printed out the directions for 9 bridges from Bedford Village as a starting point. Most of the directions were point on, while I missed bridges entirely with others. Whether signs were covered behind foliage, or roads were not marked, I know I missed one...More

This is one of my favorite driving tours. Get the Bedford County Information booklet. The directions are perfect. Never got lost & found another of my favorite spots in Bedford on my first tour.

We did this scavenger hunt as Family Fun. With a little help from GPS and WAZ we found four. If you find Colvin Covered Bridge (our favorite) you are near a buffalo farm.

This was a nice day trip. The directions that are on line were spot on and made for some nice sight-seeing. Kudos to the county for including this on their website!

Quaint covered bridges abound. You may find old grist mills too. Pick up a brochure or go to the website for self guided covered bridge tours.

Single lane old wooden bridge. Beautiful location over a river with beautiful scenery. Nice place to take pictures and think of a wooden bridge that still works over a 100 years old.

The Bedford County website has information. You can also get a printed brochure at the Visitor's Center in Bedford. The Visitor's Center also has a book with information on covered bridges throughout Pennsylvania.
