Qe had heard from friends this place was wonderful. It certainly lived up to the billing. There are new picnic tables and restrooms near the parking lot. The scenic pathway down to the rocks was beautiful. Catching the Churn at high tide might be best....More

The power of the ocean is on epic display at Devil's Churn. The Pacific Ocean rushes into this rock chasm will spectacular force. The noises made by the water hitting the hollows in the rocks are memorable and only heard in formations like this along...More

You have got to take the stairs all the way down to this chasm if you are able. The views of the ocean are spectacular and when the water is rough, the crashing waves against the rocks provide great views of the water patterns for...More

Everyone should stop and see this true show of the power of Mother Nature! If you aren't impressed by the strength and power of water, you have no business visiting the coast. You need to visit at high-tide to really appreciate the true power in...More

We went at low tide, so it wasn’t “churning,” but still an amazing view and beautiful spot to see the ocean.

This is a very scenic spot along the stunning coast of Oregon. The cliffs form a narrow inlet, almost a gorge, where the water - especially at certain times of high tide or storms - churns and sprays furiously. There is an easy but somewhat...More

We stopped at Devil's Churn for about 20 minutes as we were driving the Coast Highway. The area is well signed and there was plenty of parking when we visited on an August weekday. I'd read about Devil's Churn and enjoyed seeing it but it...More

Even if you are busy it is worth stopping here to see this. There is a restroom and free use for 15 minutes. The paths are paved with blacktop and easy to traverse.

There is a parking fee for the lots on site- but if you buy the parking pass from the ranger station, it is good for all park stops along the way.

Google Yachats tide conditions 2015. It's also worth noting that other weather conditions such as swell, storm etc will have an effect on your experience so watch the weather forecast for the area.
