Absolutely beautiful drive. We turned around at the reservoir. Later I heard we should have gone farther to get a view of it.

This was a day trip for us, although you could make it anytime frame as it's not to far out from any of the local towns that are close by. Bring some chairs, pack a lunch, bring the fishing poles or Fly rods. This area...More

This is a really back way between Bend and Prineville. I ride this many times a year, as do many motorcyclists, as an after work trip. Depending on which end you start from, either Prineville or Bend, you will go down into (from Bend) the...More

Have brought my kids and grandkids on this hike a couple times. They love it! Easy hike for anyone. Many beautiful campgrounds to stop at and enjoy the river. After your drive, head bak to Prineville for lunch or ice cream at the vintage Tastee...More

Excellent drive along the river among gorgeous hills in many shapes and colors. Go near the end of the day and do one of the hikes.

This drive up the crooked river takes you through farm country and old lava era mountains. The geological beauty is worth the drive, the rover is flowing and it's just beautiful. Watch out the bicyclists, as the road doesn't really have a bike lane for...More

There may be some at the Bowman Museum, but I don't know for sure ... I'll check around and see what I can find.
