This is a wonderful camping site. It is high desert surrounding a 55 mile long reservoir lake. The road in is narrow and you will have to be careful getting larger RV vehicles and trailers in.

I have visited this lake since I was 2 years old. My great-grandparents owned the resort for a few years in the late 60s. As a kid, my family would fish, boat, camp and explore this lake regularly during the summer. It has changed over...More

This is a beautiful area. A very nice surprise to find something so untamed. Fly fishing on the river and boating. The Park Ranger, Mike Kononen was outstanding with knowledge of the entire area and very helpful.

Picture perfect Fishing , boating, skiing, swimming, wildlife. this is a place that people from all over the Northwest come to visit. The reservoir is the source of water for many of the local farmers.

1. Frightening drive; especially if towing a large trailer. Very primitive and super narrow road...for 23 miles! 2. Absolutely NOT pet friendly. The "goat head" ground thorns rule this area. Our poor dog wouldn't come out of the trailer after just an hour there. He...More

Refreshing cool water. Beautiful views of high desert rocks. Bring shade covering as there is only one tree. Just past the sign after you pass by dam, turn right and walk down to beach. That is the best place to set up. Rocky elsewhere. Fun...More

We did not swim because we were told that the lake is full of heavy metals. I did notice a lot of people on floatation devices, boats, and jet skis....but not many swimmers. There are no lifeguards so that may have... More
