The pier is really nice, with views of the Yaquina bridge and watching fishermen. It is an easy walk, with a nice park area under the bridge.

This place has a great view. You can people watch and watch the boats come in and go out. You do not want too be caught dead here on a windy day. There is plenty of parking but plenty of tourists.

We walked along and watched the sunset through the nearby bridge. It was beautiful. We also watched the locals catch crabs in cages. That was a bit depressing, but interesting.

The sun was just coming up and the shops weren't open yet so we walked the pier to see the Sea lions. Extensive work has been done to accommodate the animals. Fun to watch and listen!

This is a long pier and worth a stroll. There were lots of people out and about fishing and crabbing. Also great photo ops of the bridge above.

Lots of people crab and fish from here. It's free and there is lots of free parking close by. It's nice just to photo the boats and bridge

This quick and easy detour off Hwy 101 offered great views of Conde McCullough's Yaquina Bay Bridge, the Newport Marina and many happy crabbers. We enjoyed the short, level walk and talking with people on the pier. One family caught eighteen crabs in four hours,...More
