I gave this place a 5 because I had my first whale sighting here. Definitely bring binoculars ! Also good cliff-side viewing of sea otters in a kelp bed. Nice park area and a beach around the point.

This is a fascinating place, the rock formations and features formed by wave erosion are wonderful. The view from the viewing area is a little restrictive so we walked down 'C' Avenues to a footpath down to the beach just north of the Devils Punchbowl...More

This is best viewed as the tide is coming it. If possible it would be nice to see it with the tide out and then when the tide is in. The best view is from the beach when the tide is out. Their is beach...More

This is one of those amazing natural formations that, I’m sure, have a perfectly reasonable geological basis for its existence. Not knowing (nor particularly caring) how this feature formed, one can nevertheless be amazed at the power of the surf and the geyser-like eruption of...More

Since this is located right off the main highway near Otter Rock, certainly worth stopping! For photography, better earlier in the day to light up the punchbowl rocks. If you are fortunate enough to arrive at a low tide, you may be able to walk...More

There are also whale bones here. We were here at the bad tide but even then it's a very nice spot to stop on the way

We were stopping at various sites on our drive north up Highway 101 and this was one of the places we visited. It's at the end of the road and offers some nice views of the Oregon coast. It's an amazing hole in the rocky...More

Loved the walk along the coast. The natural beauty takes your breath away. The beaches and surfers were amazing as that water is cold. The punch bowl formation is visible from above but you can go down and walk in it. Just be aware of...More

We always make a stop at Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area. This trip we made sure to be there at low tide so we could take the path down to the beach and actually go inside of the punch bowl. It was a great perspective...More

What a wonderful cove for families to enjoy the sand and surf. It protects you from the wind and offers lots of area for picnics on the beach!! We saw a lot of surfers too
