Very pretty views everywhere. We took the lower trail this time and got close to the moving water - very relaxing. The only downside is that the trail was treacherous so must have the right hiking shoes/sneakers, lots of jagged rocks you have to walk...More

We all really enjoyed the hike. It was beautiful and not crowded. We had perfect weather and we did not even need to take our water bottles with us but needed when we got back to the car. I would say it is worth the...More

If you enjoy hiking and like well staked trails Clifton Gorge fits the bill. Quite and great views are the norm and good way to get some exercise without overdoing it.

A beautiful preserve along a river that centuries ago was lined with mills, noted by foundation remnants and historical marker displays. Go down on one side of the river, return on the other.

55 years ago I learned rock climbing in the Gorge and later I was a naturalist in nearby Glen Helen. This was my first return in 50 years and even 20+ years in Alaska has not dampened my love for the area.

The hike was great. The. Gorge is beautiful. The hike went from easy to moserate. The only bad thing was the trail back after the people bridge was closed.

No, they are not allowed on the Clifton trails. This park is connected to John Bryan state park and their trails do have pet friendly trails
