We went here on advice from others and were not disappointed. It’s a quick drive from Ulverstone and a short walk to the lookout. Brilliant. You have nothing to lose. There are also toilets close to the car park.
We did the upper walk to the platform, approximately 25min. Amazing views and easy walk. Drove 1.km down road to lower river walk. More challenging but beautiful used another camera and will try to post of canyon itself.
It's a short walk to the lookout. We had our granddaughter in a pram & it wasn't the walk wasn't too bad with the pram. There were seats along the way and markers to tell you how far you had come or had to go....More
Thank you to those who had the foresight to save this picnic and walking area as a reserve in the midst of logging areas. Relaxing walk to lookout with seats along the way. Stairway and steeper walk for the more energetic. Great spot for lunch.
The car park has good facilities, toilets, bbq, benches.

The somewhat windy drive is good in itself but the canyaon, its views of this magnificent part of Tasmania are stunning. Walking track is beautifully done, plenty of room in carpark toilets, huts for having some lunch in. etc.
You leave the coast and drive through farmland which gives way to native and plantation forests. The ferns on the roadside and lichen on the fences give a good indication of the weather, as, for much of the year it can be wet and cold....More
