Experience the highlights of Tasmania on this 5-day, small-group tour of the island. Start in Hobart, making your way to Strahan and along the rugged West Coast. From here, continue to Cradle Mountain, famous for hiking opportunities, and up to Launceston. Continue to Bicheno, where you visit a Tasmanian Devil sanctuary, and onto the scenic Freycinet National Park before returning to Hobart.

We arranged our bike hire from Gravity Isle, who have a station at the MTB centre. We walked up to the station and cycled down the green course into town where we returned our bikes. Gravity were so helpful and accommodating. Thoroughly recommend them.

Some great terrain for mountain biking coupled with a nicely sited trail head. The enduro style trails across the front of the mountain provide some good riding and features, suitable for most levels of riding ability. Send Helen's is a real blast down the mountain. Plus there is the addition of one of the best cross country trails in Australia - Dreaming Pools. An absolute ripper of a trail with the inclusion of some magnificent secluded pools for a refreshing dip under a waterfall. Note that there is a significant climb out of the valley to return to the trailhead, but well worth the effort.

St Helens trailhead facilities include cafe (which also sells bike spares and clothing). Shaded and undercover picnic benches, bean bags, bike racks, toilets and is serviced by shuttles. The trails are pretty good also.

Nice trails, we enjoyed riding most of them. Very busy, a bit lacking shade at the trail head and very dusty in summer. Great place to ride in winter.

Good range of trails, which will challenge all skills. Shuttle runs available to the top from the main (Flagstaff ) car park. Suits beginners / family better than Derby.
