The usual range of second hand type stalls and a few others. Only open Sundays and not overly crowded on this particular day. Friendly stall holders and deceptively large with offshoots of the market going off In different directions. Small selection of food stalls and...More

We wish we had more time to wander around the various stalls which were interesting and selling a wide variety of goods from bric-a-brac to furniture pieces and fresh produce to lollies. Definitely worth spending an hour browsing.

Not a bad market, plenty of things to look at from fortune tellers to music memorabilia. It is split across several different buildings too. There is some live music playing and food stalls. Not much variety in terms of food though - fish/chips, thai and...More

Advertised as the largest undercover market in Tasmania, I had hoped for more. The stores looked old fashioned and tired and could do with more interesting stock. The only store of I spent my money at was a recycled toy store - and I had...More

Penguin is a quaint and very pretty seaside village and the market is in the old primary school. Some interesting stalls both old and new, food stalls and live music. Worth a wander around.

I enjoyed Niki's sweet treats store, I had a Rocky Road thickshake which was great and also had lots of different lollies to choose from. Music was playing which was fun and a great place for kids to have a quick walk around whilst on...More

All undercover, very friendly stall holders, we didn't find it very busy. Mostly antiques/second hand goods which suited us. Great bacon and eggs at the food court. Very cheap by Melbourne standards

This was just your average beachside town market if you are looking for second hand goods. There was live music when we were there which was good but I wouldn’t list as a MUST see.

Driving through penguin. Saw this advertised on highway. Stopped in. It was cute. Nearly everyone there are clearly locals and it was a fun cultural experience. Cute. Very cute.
