Lovely tour guide
Jun 2021
Our guide was so incredible and definitely made the tour of the caves even more amazing. She was such a beautiful person, so thoughtful when making sure a little girl was ok with the dark and also taking the time to get to know all the group members. This was the same lady I had made contact with when booking the tour over the phone and she even remembered me from the phone call. So very personable yet gentle at the same time. The world needs more genuine people like Mara. Thank you so very much for having us.

Massive caves with Extras
Jun 2021
Really cool caves, and very big. Having done other cave tours in NZ and SA the Mole Creek (Marakoopa Cathedral tour) was on another level of scope and size. These caves were also very varied in what they had on offer, they're were the 'curtain' type the straws, black from bushfire smoke travelling through, glow worms and Cave Spiders that looked a bit like giant daddy long legs.

They advise it's a 60M climb up 230ish stairs but they have rails on both sides most of the way - I'm far from fit and made it up without to much issue.

Interesting caves

Very interesting caves. But what made the tour excellent was the guides. They clearly love their work and it shows in their excellent attitude a very informative commentary.

A unique caving experience!
Mar 2021
My partner and I did the Cathedral Tour - 300 steps and the occasional low overhang. It was an hour which passed quickly and made so enjoyable by our guide, Renae. The sights and experiences were excellent and our thoughts were echoed by our children and grandchildren that did the same tour later in the afternoon.

Make sure you book before you get there - we saw plenty of people turned away!
Mar 2021
We took the opportunity to do 2 tours here. The Underground Rivers tour, and King Solomon's Cave. Both were beautiful, but King Solomon took our breath away. Our guide Shannon was amazing, and passionate, and knowledgeable, and totally engaging. But the cave - be prepared to flatten your camera battery. Tight in places (we are both close to 6ft) - but no issues or discomfort. Simply stunning! If You can only see one cave, make sure it's King Solomon. But if you possibly can, make the time to see both - their differences are startling and worthwhile.

River Cave and glowworms
Dec 2020 • Couples
Went there on a rainy day in Launceston

Be warned, book ahead don't just rock up as its a bit of a drive and you might be disappointed.
Beautiful walk from the visitor centre to the meeting point if cave through tree ferns but you can drive if you don't want to walk.
Tour of cave took about 40 minutes and got to see lots of nice limestone equ if not better to Jenolan Caves in NSW. Would have like to hear a bit more about the history of the caves but still really enjoyed it.
It was about 8 degrees in the cave and very tight to get through in places.

Fantastic experience
Nov 2020
A fantastic experience by our tour guide Aaron, he was so informative, his enthusiasm was like a breath of fresh air, he was like the Dr. David Bellamy of caves, and his knowledge was enlightening to say the least, thank you Aaron for such a wonderful tour. Irene & Charles

Honeycomb cave
Nov 2020
We took a drive from Mole Creek to the honeycomb cave which is close to town. You can get to see the entrances to the caves and we enjoyed feeling the cool air inside. You need to be an experienced caver to go further in.

Underground Rivers and Glow-worms and King Solomons Cave Tours
Oct 2020 • Couples
Well worth a trip to the caves! We did the underground rivers and glow worms tour as well as King Solomons Cave tour. The guides were full of knowledge and happy to spend as much time answering questions. We'll definitely be back to do the Cathedral tour we missed.
