A little disappointing as I had high expectations. Jam packed with Asians who obviously enjoy their citrus but waste a lot of the fruit by dropping what they don't want on the ground. Still an enjoyable 30 minutes if you're staying in Wisemans. Kids would...More

Went to Watkins family orchard today, very busy but got a great haul of fresh and delicious mandarins. Prices are 7.50 small or 12.50 large bucket. Only condition is that every adult needs a bucket to enter the farm. I didnt have a problem with...More

Extremely commercial, compulsory min $7 bucket to be bought per adult as entry fee. Sour mandarins and no other fruits. very unkept and dirty. Overcrowded making it more of a circus than a farm.

There is always a pleasure in picking your own fruit, and mandarin picking at Watkins farm has been a family tradition for the last four years. Sadly this year, Mark and his family were not at the farm, as it seems they have now employed...More

The mandarins are delicious and so fresh. My teen loves climbing trees to reach the highest ones. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive from Sydney for the experience, not just the mandarins. The only negative is the bad smelling porta-loos, so plan to stop at...More

The only thing to talk about is the owner, a terrible old fellow. He even don't know how to deal with people. If thats his property, close it off and njoy ureself. Very rude behaviour. Not visiting again. Sorry might you are too low.

It's an easy 1 and 1/2 drive from Sydney. No entry fees but each adult needs to buy a bucket to enter. $12.50 large and $7.50 small. Kids free. Upon entry all bags have to be left at the gates. So it's a good idea...More

Took the family on the long drive out to wisemans ferry for a spot of mandarin picking, last 10 minutes of the drive the roads gets a bit iffy as road is narrow and oncoming traffic gets a bit tight, once there plenty of parking...More

A great activity to show young kids where food comes from. Its a long drive to get there, so plan your day and combine it with something else. Its not about getting cheap fruit because its cost only a little bit less than getting them...More

After a winding drive about 11km from Wisemans Ferry, A sign pointed to the right indicated the location of the orchard. Perched in a hidden valley above the Hawkesbury River is this gem. Acres of ripening mandarins ready for the picking. The season starts late...More
