Located not far from the centre of town. The road at some points is narrow, with a short part, dirt. Through the National Park it is tarred but again narrow. Don't race through, drive slowly and enjoy the wildlife! The view is excellent and takes...More

Mount Mackenzie provides a panoramic viewpoint over the town of Tenterfield and nearby areas, and is well worth visiting. It is either a short, direct drive on sealed roads or, more interestingly, a short (30 minute) circuit route through nearby farmlands with stunning granite outcrops...More

The signs underestimate the distance to the top, but it is over some dusty road near the end- the views are very expansive.

Tenterfield is ablaze with stunning colours in Autumn. Many photographers visit at this time for their perfect photo, and its not hard due to colour everywhere This drive is beautiful and well worth a visit. Lots of coffee shops and log fires too.
