I keep coming back to this stunning place. What i really like is the magnificent views, the cliffs, valleys and it is just perfect. Truly God's gift to humanity. Advice - be cautious and follow the reminders for travellers safety.

After going to Perry’s lookout we went to Anvil. Beautiful views all over. No entrance fee and just a few other people. Very nice and worth the visit.

This is the best viewpoint we got to in our trip, making it totally worth the drive on the unsealed road. The walk is less than 5 min to the look out and the views were almost 360 degrees. Shame the day was hazy -...More

There is a bit of a drive down a gravel road to get here. The walk to anvil rock is about 10 mins or less from the car. There is a chair on the way where you can sit and take in the views. This...More

Although there is about 5kms of dirt road to this lookout, it is worth making the effort. The walk from the car park to the lookout can take from 5 to 60 minutes, depending on how interested you are at looking at the plants, flowers,...More

Took a drive out to get the kids to have a nap in the car and gosh we were pleased we did. The view from the top of the rock is brilliant as it's completely unspoiled for as far as you can see! There also...More

Anvil Rock is down the end of Hat Hill Road north of Blackheath. The last few kilometres of the road is gravel, but easily passable by a car. There is a walking track of a couple of hundred metres from the parking area to Anvil...More

A good lookout - a bit like Pulpit Rock, but for scaredy cats! Don't try the dirt road up to this is you have a low clearance vehicle - and do see the cave if you make it this far.

This. Spot. Is. Amazing! This was in my top two of all the scenic places we visited! Only a 10-minute walk to the top of the lookout which has railings all around and 360 degree views of the valley and mountains! Feel like your on...More

We went to about 5 of the lookouts along the Katoomba rim of the Blue Mountains and this is the one that kept us the longest gazing with amazement and filled with an awe for the natural beauty.
