For the size of it, Hampton Court feels like walking around a village or small town and it's quite easy to get lost. It was good to walk around the banqueting hall and the massive gardens and water features that expand as far as the...More

This is one of my favorite palaces in England. Although Henry tried to eliminate all the entwined H and A's if you look hard there are still some that survived. I met Lady Jane Boleyn and her husband George on my latest visit - lovely...More

First time I have visited since the 1980s. I loved it then but it is even better now. We had a carriage ride round the garden which was very enjoyable and informative. There is so much to see and we didn’t see it all. The...More

Hampton Court is an amazing place and I would recommend spending at least 1/2 day (or longer here). The buildings are amazing and the gardens are unbelievable. The castle is exceptionally well documented, with interesting tidbits posted through the property so that anyone can gain...More

Excellent day at Hampton Court well worth a visit. Audio guide is very good. Staff very helpful. Because the flower show was on it was not as busy as we expected which improved our visit and allowed us more time to go around without being...More

I went to see the special event jousting tournament and ended up seeing it twice and touring the palace. You can easily spend an entire day on the palace, exhibits and gardens. Plan to eat lunch in the pricey kitchen and stay for tea. Even...More

Our 28 cacher group from Canada and US, had this fantastic tour on our list, before heading to our cruise ship tomorrow. Our private tour guide Dawn, obviously an English history major, described everything we were looking at....via audio headsets, which I highly recommend! The...More

Loads of history here. Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, various Williams and George’s. We’d been to Versailles a few weeks before which involved over 12kms of walking. This though was far easier. Everything is close at hand, compact, impressive and drips in history. The maze, the...More

Catch a few episodes and you are really going to fall in love with this modest little palace and it’s cobbled pathways.

My wife was born near Hampton Court Palace. I had previously visited twice, once on a school trip and then 50 years ago with my parents. Wed had both wanted to go back and so we left our hotel in Sunbury and arrived quite quickly...More

The bus is a better bet if you are staying in the city, Kingston, but you need a prepaid Oyster card. We had no idea how to get one. We walked 25 minutes but a taxi would be better on a rainy day.
