Lovely historic building, staff knowledgeable about the history of the building and the town. We went on the guided town walk which lasted for an hour and good value at £2 per person. There is also a small cafe and shop. Visit the upper floor...More

Visited for lunch. A bit quirky but that adds to its charm. Good variety on the menu. We all choose The Salmon Fish cakes, which came with homemade chutney and coleslaw plus side salad. Excellent , clearly homemade fish cakes as well, and very tasty....More

This is an example of how to run a good tourist information office. Lots of pamphlets, maps and walking guides available. If the local authorities are thinking of closing this place then they need their heads examining.

We visited the centre whilst walking round Oswestry - had tea and cakes in the cafe - and was told that the council planned to close it! Please sign the petition to keep it open!

As the birthplace of Wilfred Owen (the WW1 poet) this town has much to offer. The visitor center staff were most helpful. There were displays of WW1 photographs and artefacts in a very ancient building ( mind your heads & beware of the sloping floors)....More

The exhibition is rather small, but then so is the building, which I believe to be the old Grammer school. The lady behind the desk was very polite and helpful, just what was needed to start my visit to Oswestry
