I think as an heritage centre we were too early to view in March. Opens 1st April? We did catch a glimpse though from the road. Much Wenlock is a lovely historic town and reinvented the Olympics. There is a trail you can follow.

We visited during a rainy and cold day, however the ruins didn't disappoint. The lady in the office was accommodating and very helpful.

At this time of year the ruins were only open to the public on the weekend. I spent about an hour viewing this site. So much history. Nice little gift shop. Toilets available.

Peaceful site, with guided audio tour. Benches to sit and chill in attractive gardens. Bring a picnic and a camera. The old Bishops House is now private but you can wander all round the priory.

We visited recently and despite dull and damp weather, we enjoyed it. It is quite atmospheric in the rain and there are plenty of information boards around. There is a shop at the entrance where you can purchase gifts, guide books, souvenirs etc.

We visited during the school holidays (last review) and would have expected the site to be busy but on a weekday morning it was only us and one other group visiting. Lovely to walk around this tranquil setting and find out more about the Priory.

One of the priories we visited thanks to our English heritage membership. The audio tour really adds a nice touch to this visit and is well worth taking.
