It is a shame to do off season visits and find so many places just closed. Maybe shortened hours would be a compromise, but something every day would be good.

Moyra Metcalfe paints fabulous landscapes of Wensleydale in an attractive, individual style. Fantastic souvenirs of a holiday in the Dales.

This working artist's studio is a showcase for her dramatic and colourful paintings, most of them inspired by the wilder areas of upper Wensleydale and Garsdale. Really good variety of sizes, well worth the visit. The cafe element is only open at weekends.
