Delightful cafe, shop and old working windmill.
Oct 2018 • Couples
Well worth stopping to visit, with plenty of parking near by. The tea shop featured cakes, scones and bread made with flour from the windmill. Delicious home made soup and cakes. Fascinating to look around the mill, but there were a lot of steep steps, so not suitable for the infirm or very small children really. Pleasant tea room garden and shop selling some interesting things. Largely open at weekends, so do check before you visit.

Sadly the coffee shop was shut but bought cereal in the shop and took photos. Adequate parking. It's a short visit, but I've not seen a 5 sail windmill before, and probably won't again

Alford windmill and Tea room.
Aug 2018 • Friends
I have visited this windmill several times and enjoy coming here every time, it’s a working windmill which is rare these days. There is a car park here with toilet amenities, a tea room which is definitely worth a visit. There is an antique centre here too which is worth a look round. The mill sells fresh made cakes and being a working mill you can go up stairs to the top, feel the mill shake as the sails goes round! The mill has steep stairs so please wear sensible footwear when visiting. Also disabled or elderly people it may be best to just visit the ground floor of the working mill. Please check there web site for operating dates as the site isn’t always open every day. On average you can spent 1 to 2 hours here in a quite surroundings. If you have an interest in old mills this is worth a look.

Nice visit
Aug 2018 • Couples
We spent a lovely couple of hours here. They are dog friendly and people friendly . Lovely little gift shop where you can buy lots of mill related things, preserves and of course flour . The flour is superb and makes very good pastry. The mill itself is interesting and made more so by the man in charge. He explained the workings ect along with all sorts of interesting facts . We had sandwiches cake and coffee in the superb cafe . Everything was tasty and well presented and the lady who served us efficient helpful and friendly.. The dog was made welcome too. Lots of seating outside and in.We will be back!.

Best coffee cake in Lincolnshire
Jul 2018 • Couples
This is a lovely spot and the tea and coffee cake are excellent. My mum and I often pop over from Louth for a cup of tea and cake. Recently however on a Saturday afternoon on 3 occasions the tea room has been closed. The windmill is open but the tea rooms have been closed . Rather disappointing when we have made the effort to drive over.
