Went here when staying with local friends on Friday lunchtime and enjoyed the jazz, reasonably priced food , several pints of Harveys Sussex and most of all the friendly atmosphere ... A well run pub with everything to recommend it and the Halloween decorations were to die for...

Nice friendly traditional pub with a really big attractive garden which is great in the summer. Decent selection of bitter which is always well kept.

Response from pipaxford, Owner at The Two Brewers
Responded 6 Dec 2014
Dear bill t, I am dismayed to read your review, and sorry for the late response but I have just returned from holiday. I would like to think that things are run during my absence as they would be when I am there. My staff are very capable, and customers are usually polite. If you could kindly tell me the date and approximate time you visited, then I will endeavour to check the staff rota and make some enquiries. I like to think that we have a welcoming place for all our customers, and would not want anyone to leave with misgivings. Thank you for mentioning our garden, we are very proud of it, and it is an absolute haven in the summer. Kind regards, Pippa Axford Licensee/Owner

Our wedding reception was held in the extensive, well kept garden in the summer... absolutely perfect. excellent value for money- eg £3 for vodka and coke- and a good range of drinks. staff and locals are friendly and good fun, and make anyone feel welcome. xx…
