Just a mile or 2 in the car for us, regularly go and clamber about at the end of the spit. Feel very relaxed and happy there, great walk in the fresh air and nice views, dog loves it. Have not used the cafe.

Well signposted walk . Fairly flat and not too taxing. Worth continuing to Saxon Way section, although the approach path was rather overgrown.

The play area is excellent. So much for the little ones to do. There is also a cafe with seating area right in the play area with toilets! Or you can take a picnic! Its a firm favourite for us !
