Super as always BUT !!!
Oct 2021 • Family
We have visited Moors Valley for about 30 years. Having taken our children we now take our grandchildren. Everyone loves it and we will return again and again.
One ongoing issue is the catering facilities. The facilities need to be upgraded to cope with the number of visitors. Today the only place to get a take away coffee was the main restaurant in the centre. The staff and facilities could not cope with the volume of visitors. Thankfully I could fill up my water bottle allowing me to get a drink as I could not wait in the slow queue for a hot drink.
Please upgrade the catering facilities Moors Valley.

What could be better than spending the day in the Autumn sunshine in a country park?
Oct 2021
What could be better than spending the day in the Autumn sunshine in a country park? We were a party of five including one under two years old, plus two dogs. We focused on the Play Trail but also enjoyed walking the Gruffalo walk and the children's play area, with a spot of lunch at the Seasons eaterie.

Lovely Park
Sep 2021 • Couples
This is a lovely park and I have visited often over the years. My only issue is I find it difficult to follow the coloured routes. Is there a way of signposting them so they are easier to follow? Maybe coloured arrows. Thanks.

Hello Donna, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to read that you find it difficult to follow the coloured routes. We've been carrying out a review of our current signage and are in the early stages of looking at our waymarking in more detail. We want to make sure that our visitors can spend more time exploring the forest and enjoying being in nature, so it's important to us that we get our waymarking right. We're looking at the possibility of different options that don't rely solely on colour. We will take your feedback into consideration when making changes.

Car park pricing is criminal!
Sep 2021 • Family
This place is simply amazing but the car parking prices are criminal. The miniature train line is amazing and is lovely to just walk around. If you get a chance, take the little ones for a ride on it, they’ll love it.

Hi Leigh, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I'm really pleased to read that you enjoyed your ride on the Moors Valley Railway. I'm sorry that you felt that the car parking was expensive. Although it's called a parking charge, it's there in place of an entrance fee. Money generated from parking is re-invested in the park through maintaining and managing the forest, maintaining trails and tracks, updating play equipment and the day to day running of the 1000 acre site. As well as the Railway we have a music trail, 2 play parks, Gruffalo Sculptures, an interactive Gruffalo Trail, 1 mile forest play trail, mindfulness audio trail, 4 waymarked walking trails, 3 waymarked running trails, 5 waymarked cycling trails including a singletrack, bike park, Visitor Centre, bespoke fitness trail, the Tree Top Trail, forest Lookout, Ranger Den, Cycle Hire, Seasons Restaurant, Ice Cream Kiosk and Go Ape.

The best day in the New Forest by far
Sep 2021 • Family
Honestly this was the best day! Basically its a free-ish attraction but you have to pay for parking - if you think about parking as the entrance fee then it starts to seem a normal price. There is a free walk that has things to do along the way... constructions if you like. I would call it a discovery walk. Great with kids. The gruffalo thing is great but if like us you have a 1 year old, don't bother with the trail and just go to the end behind the ice cream hut and see all the sculptures. If you want you can pay 3.50 for an activity pack or download the free app. Ice cream hut is AMAZING!

We didn't do the go ape or the net thing but it was fun watching.

Train ride is everything you want it to be and a fiver for a return per adult.

There were loads of picnic spots if you are clever enough to bring a picnic or a kiosk for cheap food or a restaurant for food on a plate.

I disagree that it was expensive. I thought it was very reasonable and it can be as cheap or expensive as you want. Parking was 11.70 for about 5 hours.

Great day out with the kids
Aug 2021 • Family
A fantastic day out with children 3, 5 and 7. We did the play trail which was fantastic. The children loved it. We also went on the train ride, it is great and the ride is much longer than I anticipated. Parking is expensive but we were there a long time so worth it. Lots of places to picnic. We were there bank hol weekend so expected it to be busy.At the entrance it was very busy and around the go ape and high ropes bit however once we got out on the play trail it quietened right down. Look forward to returning so we can explore further.

Average and no signposts.

This place was a nightmare to find from the Verwood direction without ANY signposting from either ringwood or verwood. We ended up doubling back and doing a full loop so be warned. It was extremely busy and convoluted with a different booth for tickets of every kind. It appears to be a budget option for families but it worked out to be quite pricey with the parking fees and train tickets/ kiosks. It reminded me of Canadian or American concepts of the 'outdoors' but was essentially several enormous playgrounds the new forest. There were very few members of staff but literally thousands of people. Toilets grotty because of this. Train was fun, staff on the train v nice. We stayed about an hour. Out of over 50 family days out since last summer, this was the least memorable. Not much to offer but probably good if you have kids who love playgrounds and you don't mind clocking up a huge parking bill. No covered area so bad for a wet day.

Hi Fiona, I'm sorry that you had difficulty finding Moors Valley. There are brown signposts on the main routes such as the A31 and the Horton Road, however not on the smaller roads on quieter routes. If you have access to Google Maps the route is just under 5 miles via the Ringwood Road. Moors Valley is a collection of different attractions on one site, some are ticketed at extra cost and some are included in the price of parking. The attractions that are at extra cost such as Go Ape and the Railway are run and managed by 3rd party businesses, which is why they have their own cabins for making bookings and buying tickets. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your ride on the Railway, but I'm sorry that you didn't think we had much else to offer. As well as the Railway we have 2 play parks, 1 mile forest play trail, music trail, mindfulness audio trail, 4 waymarked walking trails, 3 waymarked running trails, 5 waymarked cycling trails including a singletrack, bike park, Gruffalo sculptures, Visitor Centre, bespoke fitness trail, the Tree Top Trail, forest Lookout, Ranger Den, Cycle Hire, Seasons Restaurant, Ice Cream Kiosk and Go Ape. I hope that you'll give us another chance and visit again to experience some of our unique attractions.

Hello Catriona, thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your recent visit to Seasons. The cost of a regular tea to takeaway is £2.00 or £2.50 for a large tea. If you're drinking inside Seasons Restaurant or in the patio area it is £2.50 for a pot of Dorset Tea or £2.80 for a pot of speciality tea, such as Earl Grey or Herbal Tea. https://seasonscoffeebarn.co.uk/drink-menu/ If you live locally please ask to speak to the restaurant manager next time you're here as we never like people to leave feeling unhappy

Great for kids and dogs
Aug 2021 • Family
Great place for families and dogs. Loved the play trail, great for 6 and 8 yr old. Although parking seems expensive- I think overall value is great for a family as it would cost £40+ at other places. We didn’t use the go ape stuff or high nets as there’s plenty to do that’s free.
Only downside were the ice creams (synthetic and expensive) and the lack of bins.

A great experience - but bring your own food!
Aug 2021
Moors Valley is an awesome attraction with heaps to do for kids. We went with our grandson (10) and his sister (5) and both found enough to be interested and occupied all day. We also paid extra for the Go-Ape run Nets Adventure, which was, frankly, a bit over-priced.
The only letdown was the food - we bought from the restaurant where the food was not only over-priced but of unremittingly poor quality. It's hard to muck up Mac and Cheese and a pizza, but these guys managed it. We asked our grandson how he'd score the pizza out of ten. He gave it 2 - but then he is a generous soul! The ice-cream was probably good but an hour's queue made it seem not worthwhile

So, overall, very good, refreshments - simply dreadful.
